I feel like the incredible lack of food options on campus for my daughter should reflect in the pricing. Because the main dining hall near my daughters dorm is not complete and hasn’t been since August-I feel a refund is fair. Charge us based on what you offer. She has said the food is awful and she is asking for extra money to eat off campus-it’s THAT bad.

Daughter choosing not to eat rather than getting food poisoning like she did last semester. Also, dealt with long lines and limited food options. Student choose to prepare her own food although she’s required to have a meal plan. And while only purchasing her eggs to prepare and a protein drink on campus, she’s already out of dining dollars
The dining system is entirely too complicated to understand and has consistently resulted in her running out long before the semester ends.
Unacceptable!

Our expectations for a variety of meal options were not met. My daughter has spent so much money on groceries and eating out because of the lack of available food when she needed it.

For the price of the mandatory meal plan there should be healthy options and it shouldn’t be this difficult for college students to figure out the system. Once the kids so, I seems that some of the establishments don’t know the rules and charge wrong.

For the amount of money we pay for this school, this is unacceptable. Something must be done to compensate.

Im an LMU student and getting fleeced on food. The implementation of meal swipes has actually made things less cost effective for me as a tall man who eats a lot

Because the food here sucks the dining dollar system makes it so you can only eat at like one place ALL THE WAY ACROSS CAMPUS and we’re paying 100k for this?

My daughter has called me on a number of occasions saying that she has not eaten or had affordable vegetarian options on campus. This is absolutely unacceptable, especially since her meal plan appears to be running out, not even half way through the semester. What are we actually paying for with the meal plan?

Because I’m student who’s dining dollars was significantly reduced due to them putting the rest into meal swipes. One meal swipe is 16 dollars, but sometimes I want to enter roski’s for a simple banana. If I don’t get significant food for the amount I’m paying, then I wasted my dining dollars that my parents have chosen to pay for. Also if I do happen to get large quantities of food, there’s no consistent or reliable container for take out, risking the foods general quality, and could be a risk

My daughter is living off of Qdoba and Starbucks. She has dined in Roski a few times and has said the food was awful and the protein was grey. Roski is a small kitchen not meant to service the entire school.

My son is living off campus, but the only food he has eaten during the day since classes have started has been Starbucks. That is unacceptable.

My daughter is not eating at school bc the options are limited and the food is not good. Lines are very long at Qdoba and they run out of basics like beans and meat. She is running up a huge bill by eating outside of campus because the options are terribe. The meal swipe/exchanges are very specific and not flexible at all so it becomes dining dollars.

Well stated. It’s reasonable to expect a mighty institution like LMU to be out ahead of an issue like this, and, at a minimum, to respond with meaningful action, not just rhetoric.

My child is almost out of $. Some classes in UHall; Roski should be a good option. Chooses not to eat there-including not eating at all- because:
-Wait times too long to eat between classes.
-Salad bar -useless as a meal. Lettuce, shredded carrots, cherry tomatoes, MAYBE a bean/egg.
-The proteins look “grey.”
>2 hr wait for on-campus chain food.
AND add insult- the micro-fridge we rented doesn’t work/isn’t fixed, so no in-room nuke option!

This situation has been badly mismanaged and is unacceptable. My daughter is skipping meals and living off of Starbucks and Qdoba due to lack of easily available fresh options. I sent an email to 6 parties in leadership two weeks ago and received not a single reply. We are fed up.

My student is barely using her meals swipes, because she doesn’t think the food is good, also she thinks it’s too far, she is in Palm North
