It should be important to everyone. This has a devastating impact on wildlife, ground water, farmers, emergency services.....and so much more.

Wish to see better VIA serve, by expanding along the existing corridor and including benefit and supporting local and rural communities. Concerned about route impact on agricultural and rural communities. Concerned about cost at a time where we are already committing to better national initiatives.

Cost, lack of meanful consultation, impacts on agriculture and rural sectors along route. Use VIA and would do so more, if it provided more reliable and cost effective service.

The rural farmers do not deserve to be treated this way. These citizens feed everyone. Our country cannot afford this. Our children will be strapped we have an affordability crisis on our hands.

Signing because I feel passionately that the citizens has been completely ignored in their concerns. Answers must be provided before anything moves forward.

Major developments and infrastructure projects should be way more transparent in their actions. They should also be willing and eager to complete impact assessments and other studies to ensure there will be a much greater positive than negative impact of going forward with the project. Simply put, Alto and the high speed train project is cutting corners and not considering what is actually beneficial for the Canadian population.

Rural Belleville is comprised of numerous farms and agri-food businesses. The Alto initiative has demonstrated a lack of transparency and seemingly ignoring the impact it will have in the food and agriculture industries locally, nationally and globally.

I don’t think it’s the right project. There are so many other needs and this one will really hurt local communities for years to come.

Save our farms, so we can eat real local food.
