I live in the neighborhood and will eventually have my kids go to school at Reynolds!

If the proposal is accepted and the Lakes of Prosper is rezoned to Watkins, my 6th grader will attend 4 different schools in only 4 years—Boyer (4th grade), Thomson (5th), Reynolds (6th), Watkins (7th).

These LoP kids have been rezoned multiple times already. Many of them have spent years looking forward to going to Reynolds, some watching their siblings go through middle school there.

The established school is doing a great job. These kids and their older siblings all went there

This is a clear boundary issue looking at the map. You have one neighborhood east of frontier and Preston going to Reynolds and then our neighborhood east of the tollway going to Watkins. People buy homes wanting close commutes. Explain how if my 6th grader needs after school tutoring and misses the bus from Watkins gets home safely across a tollway when he could walk from Reynolds? This is a deal breaker for our family remaining in PISD. We pay too much for your inconsistency.

Our kids deserve a commute that is both reasonable and safe- having to cross the tollway is neither of those! Many of us chose to buy our homes for specific reasons including the schools our children would attend which is why we picked LOP!! Rezoning us multiple times in such a short time is raising serious concerns that our kids are nothing more than numbers on a spreadsheet and that’s not fair to them. Keep us at Reynolds!!

Makes no sense to rezone this well established community. Much safer to keep is on this side of the tollway

If we are rezoned this would make my 6th grader change schools for the fourth time. Losing established friendships regained from when LOP got rezoned from Boyer to Thompson Elementary and independence on getting home from school would be a huge disruption for him.

Making LOP change middle schools is starting a dangerous precedent that our city should not be setting. We need to be looking at Celina homes that are being allowed to attend Prosper middle schools as the ones that should be shifted in a school zone mapping.

The proposed rezoning increases travel distance by 65%, creating longer daily commutes, higher transportation demands and larger carbon footprint for the affected families.

As a parent, it is incredibly frustrating and heartbreaking to watch my daughter face yet another school rezoning. She has been rezoned four times in four years. At what point do we stop moving these kids around and start considering the emotional toll it takes on them?

We live just down the road at Lakes of Prosper, and it just feels natural to stay where it is, since going across a very busy tollway sounds very unusual. We need safety for our kids.

This is absolutely not acceptable. First the elementary was moved far away and now Middle too. It doesnt make sense to move Lakes of Prosper and Lakes of Prosper North to another Middle school. Distance, after school.activities, parents pick-up times for after school clubs/activities, kids safety... there is a lot to consider here.

Safety. We are across the tollway and some activities require kids to walk or bike after buses leave. Inconsistency. It is not fair to our 6th graders to move 4 schools in 4 years and unrealistic even if they got the choice due to younger siblings also in middle school. Friendships. Home values. Distance. LOP is located much closer to Reynolds. Consideration. LOP is an established neighborhood. Many of our residents have lived here a long time and have done a lot for Prosper ISD.
