Environmental impacts to the lake and wildlife, noise pollution to residents and traffic. No thanks.

Oakpointe has already ruined our quality of life and has more than ample space to build their obligatory ball fields. Lake Sawyer is a local gem that should be left the F alone! Not to mention the cost of water from Covington!

Too many trees , wild life habitat are loosing homes. I believe in beautiful areas. Ball fields are not. Build in Ten Trails. Let them deal with traffic. We can’t handle what we have. They tend to start projects like the lights at 288th that have been there for 3 yrs ! Still not working. Intersection is a mess as is.

LSRP is one of the few areas left in BD to find peace and enjoy the outdoors! This park is used by familys to walk, hike & run. walk pets & ride horses & to access the lake! It’s peaceful and quiet by the lake & on the trails! It’s a treasure to protect! Say no to ball fields, their massive lights, increased traffic & future high cost maintenance! Oak point has a responsibility to build ball fields in 10 trails and should be required to do so! Please stand up to them and just say no! THANK YOU!

We fully agree that Oakpointe needs to build these fields on Oakpointe property, and not push the maintenance onto the residents of Black Diamond to maintain. Maintenance will be quite expensive and we the citizens should not be held to pay for them when Oakpointe has an obligation to build and maintain them.

The ball fields deserve their own special place outside of this beautiful natural area that is already well used nearly close to its capacity placing the ball fields here would likely be the tipping point and cause a negative impact to the lake and surrounding areas.

I recreate on this land several times a week and the County has invested millions in upstream mitigation of incoming creek flows to ensure this area stays healthy and is a good viable area for the local community to use for multi use trails for biking, hiking, horsebacking, dog walking and fishing access. Without this access and full of parking lots and ball fields one of the greatest spots in our area will be destroyed with runoff into the lake, pavement for car parking, and heavy traffic. NO!

It's important that we preserve as much natural open space around the lake as possible. Please don't allow this natural area to become a typical city park with ballfields.

Council would have to be nuts to touch that forest. Let Oakpointe build some great ball fields we can all enjoy on their land.

I grew up walking to this park regularly and would hate to see all the trees go. Oak Point should be required to use its own lands to fulfill it's obligation.

We live within 5 minutes of Lake Sawyer and value the serenity of the lake, surrounding neighborhoods and wildlife that we often see when visiting Lake Sawyer. The natural habitat surrounding Lake Sawyer is a precious resource and should not be disturbed for the financial gains of giant development companies who likely have several other less environmentally destructive options, especially when the main purpose is to fulfill that company's own self-interests & business obligations.

Not sure why we let developers dictate so much. City has the power, but fail time and time again.

The lalenans the trails around the lake are one of the things that make this community unique. Erasing part of that it add in a sports complex would make black diamond just like every other suburban community

Its inexcusable to destroy one of the last natural areas we have here at Lake Sawyer by building ball fields where native wildlife can coexist and survive in their natural ecosystem along side humans!

Why don’t you guys start using your head! It’s a great IDEA destroying the eagle, osprey and the otter habitat, They would love to watch the traffic and a good soccer game. Why not hold TEN TRAILS accountable and make them pay and build their ball parks in their own community. Our city council have been to far to lenient on TEN TRAILS It’s time for the city council to take control and make them be accountable. I respectfully request you stand up for your community.

The entire existing natural area of Lake Sawyer Regional Park is irreplaceable and provides very appropriate and ecologically compatible recreational opportunities for Black Diamond residents that can't be created elsewhere in the area. It's a natural resource the city must protect. Sports fields are important but more well suited for land that is more easily developed, more accessible, and located in a far less ecologically sensitive location.

The local roads cannot support the traffic this would cause, not to mention the loss of pristine open space which is enjoyed by many.

The residents of Lake Sawyer (many who have lived here for 30++ years) made their investment on the lake because of the quiet, recreation, nature, etc. To now impose this on the lake residents for the 6-10,000 new residents of BD is unreasonable thinking.

we need to keep this as much of a wildlife and natural area as possible for the community. Put the busy ball fields into a busy area, where they are easily accessed by walkers from the populated development
