I'm opposed for the reasons outlined in the petition.

Losing Lake Sawyer trails would be detrimental. Oakpointe should be responsible for planning and building their fields within their land scope.

No ball park ! Leave our wilderness and wildlife alone. Oak Point can put it in Ten Trails.

Oakpoint needs to put the ball fields on the land they originally planned to build them.

Lake Sawyer Regional Park is a local gem of beauty, serenity, and wildlife. I am opposed to the noise, lights, and loss of wildlife habitat that ball fields will bring. Oakpointe agreed to put these parks on their land and we hold them to what they said they would do!

The natural areas around Lake Sawyer not only support recreation enjoyment for thousands of people every year but also immense wildlife Please do not clear any more for 10 trails! They have already damaged so much natural and old growth areas - its awful!

I fought against this project for years on council. I am a huge proponent of our open and wild spaces, always have been. I'm tired of all these appointees still in their diapers pretending like they know what they're doing while literally bulldozing the best parts of this place. I didn't sacrifice 6 years of my health and finances and run two elections for a few people playing house at the dais to do the bidding of people they're trying to please only to quit before the election anyway. Shame.

Keep the nature trails and have Oakpointe build on their own land.

We need to hold Oakpointe accountable to the development agreement. We need to keep Lake Sawyer Regional Park a passive park. The light and noise pollution effects will affect all of Lake Sawyer residents.

I have lived in this area for 68 years. So many changes have occurred. The nature trails at Lake Sawyer need to remain. We do not need more traffic and potential harm done to the lake.

I want keep some nature and serenity in the area still. My son and I love to fish this area of the park on a regular basis. Its very peaceful to walk in and spend time fishing. I also spend time running thru here as well. Adding nearby ball fields would add traffic and parking and impact our calm environment we have. I love baseball and sports and I am a ten trails resident even. I don't want to see this built here.

We have to protect the natural ecosystems that keep our water clean.

There are other better options for parks. We should repurpose an existing park and the Lake Sawyer location is not ideal due to environmental impacts from ball fields.

Lake Sawyer Regional Park is one of the few green spaces left in our area. My kids have enjoyed countless hours hiking, fishing, biking, and observing wildlife in the park. Losing this precious habitat would be devastating for our ecosystem and for the well-being of the people in the community who can freely enjoy nature here. Please keep Lake Sawyer Regional park as it is, a community gem filled with natural beauty that benefits us all.

Signing this petition to tell these big developers to stay out of small towns and community parks

Oakpointe should honor their commitment by building sports fields on the land they already own. The community should not have to forego irreplaceable land to facilitate Oakpointes commitment. Loss of wildlife habitat, ecological impact to the lake, traffic, maintenance the list goes on. We already had this debate back in 2002 / 2003 when King country proposed a “Marymoore-style” development of the south end of the lake. No!
