Leave the trees alone in the park. Disrupting nature will also disrupt the fish and birds; not to mention add to the increasingly horrific traffic on 216th/224th Ave SE.

I’ve lived on the lake for 34+ years. It would be devastating to the natural habitat of so many animals that live at the south end of the lake. The potential for stream and lake pollution, in addition to light pollution, is alarming.
If Oakpointe signed the agreement to build recreational fields in Ten Trails then they should build them in Ten Trails or on their property on Hwy 168 (which makes the most sense for traffic, etc).

To hold these people accountable. All they have done is broken promises during all of the massive development in black diamond. They continue to lie and build without any concern for the community.

Lake Sawyer Regional Park is one of the few undeveloped areas in our town. It is used by hundreds of people to hike, walk, fish and swim. The roads in our area do not have capacity to handle the additional traffic from ball fields. Building sports fields next to a lake will amplify the noise as sound travels across water. Ball fields should be built off 169 where the infrastructure already exists to handle them.

Oakpointe deliberately brought this 'great idea' to the city which has only served to divide once again. This is no 'gift'. It is calculated. Leave our wonderful park alone and build the required sports fields on land already designated. Sports fields are heat islands - Lights, Camera, Action! The rhetoric that ''No one uses it'' is completely made up. Oakpointe cannot be trusted and I question the Ad Hoc committee's recommendation. LSRP is a sanctuary, mental health retreat and much more.

I strongly urge the City and Oakpointe to leave the Lake Sawyer Regional Park out of any development discussions. Leave Lake Sawyer park as a natural area to be enjoyed by all, including the wildlife that live there.
Alternative sites need to be prioritized.
