Black Diamond has a beautiful park, full of many natural wonders. Walking, biking and horse paths. Tall forest and native plant life for our shrinking wild life population. Boarded by Lake Sawyer. There is plenty of already cleared land for ballfields. The park has and is working just the way it is for those of us who have lived here for more than 5 minutes!

Tired of seeing our green wild spaces clear cut in the name of " recreation".

The Lake Sawyer community doesn’t need a ballpark. Please work to preserve the unique joy and peace that the park brings to so many of us that live nearby. We have enough ugly going on in this world. No need to add to it. Developers will come and go faster than the citizens who trusted you by voting for you. Voters supported you to get you in office. Will you support them?

That park is a peaceful place at the end of the lake. Putting ballparks there wouldn’t make sense for the kids in ten trails because to get there they have to walk on a road with no sidewalks and a speed limit of 45, when they could instead put it in the neighborhood where it would be accessible. This also will keep the open space of the park a peaceful green area.

We need to keep the natural area that makes this such a great area. There is already 10 Trails which decimated all that forest. Keep that area as is.

We should not be using the limited space around the lake for more ball fields. Ten Trails should use the resources they have already. Maybe it should have gone where yet another unnecessary grocery store is going.

Keep this area natural!! Ten trails has already decimated our forest. Stop tearing it down!

The trails and the trees are natural beauty which I frequent for walks/hikes. As the Cedar to Green River Trail expands into the Black Diamond Natural Area, I would hope to see a continuation of this effort through 10 trails and to Flaming Geyser. Keep this area natural. I'm very concerned about environmental issues with athletic fields being this close to the lake. There are other places to develop play fields & community areas. Please build them near schools and neighborhoods.

The conservation of the ecosystem at Sawyer Lake is imperative. One day, I spent nearly an hour and a half sitting next to Frog Pond watching two otters and a great blue heron all simultaneously playing while catching and eating fish. It was magical. A ball park, though wonderful for our kids, would create a disjoint in the serenity for these animals. It would create unnecessary pollution of the surrounding land and water. This area should be protected. Find a different place for the ballpark.

We can’t lose this precious community spot. We’ve already lost to many.

Keep the fir trees. We need to save what’s left of the forest. Shade trees. Wildlife housing. Elbow room. Quiet. Thank you.

Lake Sawyer is a quiet treasure that is a peaceful and accessible place for boating and fishing. Ball fields would adversely affect those uses because of likely noise and water pollution.
