I just moved here for peace, quiet and nature. I hope to keep it that way. Btw, hello, neighbors!

I grew up in this area Lake Sawyer Message Blackdiamond for over 40 years. It was and I do mean was a beautiful nice community. Now it’s overpopulated over congested not enough schools. The last thing needed is light pollution more parks. We need natural areas out there. You’ve taken them all Blackdiamond. You are pathetic as a government. You’re letting water be stolen out of the lake not letting it feed the streams. Who knows what else you would do you move to natural spring at 10 trails that

Let’s be sensible. Let environmental concerns and societal recreation coexist by putting the fields away from this great nature habitat.

Do not use natural space for a contractual obligation made with a community (Ten Trails) that most of us do not want or appreciate. If Ten Trails committed to the ball park then it needs to be placed on land they purchased an own. Stop taking the beauty out of this area- you are destroying what makes this place so special.

I enjoy nature more than a landscaped setting void of the natural elements. No more development, please.

I routinely walk with my wife thru the Lake Sawyer Regional Park area as a way to escape the noise & bustle of modern life to enjoy nature, the sights, sounds and immersive experience of being in the woods, and literally within walking distance of my home. Losing this irreplaceable resource would be a tragedy - especially given other viable options that would not involve developing raw woodlands and losing the Regional Park. I oppose developing the Lk Sawyer Regional Park for ball fields.

The natural features of Lake Sawyer dont need athletic fields of any sort added. I also feel that ball fields near a lake is poor planning for families attending games with small children.

Once the park is lost.... A strong stand by the Council is needed.

This will further threaten the spawning grounds of our Keynote salmon species in the Ravensdale Creek and rock Creek basin. Do not trade our evergreen forests for concrete, asphalt, and grass fields.

I’m a firm believer in smart long term planning, not taking the easy way out. There are regional considerations as well as for our corner of the county, & for the community itself. From over here in Hobart, outside the fray of self-interest, it seems very clear that this is not the best use of the site, & not the best site for this use. It’s like putting a cactus in a rain garden — sure your mom gave you that cactus & you don’t want to disappoint — but why not on your OWN sunny porch instead?

Taking down trees, destroying trails, and adding congestion and traffic is a terrible approach! Protect the park at all cost, there are other places these ball fields can be built

I am concerned about the environmental impact the ball fields may have on the water quality of Lake Sawyer and natural wildlife habitat surrounding the lake. In addition, I am concerned about the noise and light pollution these ball fields would produce so close to residents’ homes.

Our communities are comprised of humans, but also many other creatures who depend on this land to live. We're watching our natural spaces disappear, and with them the creatures that call them home. And we're losing the places where we can intersect with them and remember that we are also creatures on this planet that need our natural spaces in order to thrive. It is of critical importance to focus on conservation, especially along water, or we will have nothing left to conserve.

This is such an amazing wildlife area and place to hike right outside our doors. Please keep it natural.
