As a volunteer for Monday bread distribution and a personal contributor to the pantry, I have seen the good that the pantry does for the local community. I have heard the comments and praise from regulars who visit the pantry about what it means/has done for them. I really hope the council can assist or help to find a suitable option so we are able to continue helping the community.

I cannot believe the measures that the 3 levels of government go to trying to stop charities doing what they do. Beggars belief. I know, let’s cut funding to domestic violence, let’s put
a bulldozer through a homeless camp and now this.

Our community pantry contributes to people’s lives in a significant and positive way. Just knowing that people in my community are coming together to support one another is uplifting for everyone whether we use the pantry or not. Everything must be done to keep initiatives such as these going.

If the council and government won't help feed the hungry they shouldn't have any right to close down those who will do it for them
