Moving the facility to the newly mentioned location will make it difficult for existing elderly pensioners to get to the new facility as finance DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO HAVE EXTRA FOR TRAVELLING !!
Please consider that the community you serve here is living in poverty where the allowance don't give them this flexibility with rising costs of electricity and food !!!!

The hospital has been an integral part of the community. The patients range from from pensioners with chronic illness to patients with mental disabilities. My family who fits those 2 categories have only ever been treated there and any shift especially to the patients with mental disabilities who require their medications timeously will be detrimental to say the least. What kind of a government (local) do we have who removes a basic necessity. Utterly disgusted!!

It is a lifeline for people in our immediate and adjacent areas. Closing it down will have an enormous social and economic impact on the people of our many a disadvantaged communities

Please leave it as it is. Surely you cannot expect the elderly and sick patients to walk all the way from Lotus River to the new proposed site in Strandfontein.

This clinic has been here for years, and many elderly people depend on it to receive their chronic meds, to move it would be putting these people at an disadvantage, as they would need to travel further to have access to the basic health services that they so desperately need

I attend Lotus River Day Hospital since 2008 and I have never felt that Dr's and staff were unfriendly or rude to patients, where the Hospital is currently, you don't ever feel that you're in danger ,I can only sing praises about the staff ,they were in good leadership over all the years.Thank you Lotus River Day Hospital you still have staff that care about the patients.

It's current location is convenient and easily accessible for the community it serves. To relocate it to proposed site would render it inaccessible, inconvenient and extra travel costs to reach, would add extra financial layout to the already financially straitened community.

The space discussed is not a right spot. Too far too dangerous even to walk till there. No public transport till there. Demolish old building if it is a safety hazard and build something bigger there is enough free space around the day hospital.

Location is very convenient for many residents in the area, especially the infirm and disabled. Please allow people to continue using a facility that is within walking distance for many.

How can you want to move a hospital for housing? A hospital? Why not build said housing where you'd like to put the hospital. This is ridiculous.

The day hospital has been a staple in this community for many years and it should not be moved as our elderly community members need a safe area and space to be able to attend the day hospital without fear of being harmed or hurt along the way.
