The app raises serious privacy concerns. It gives the school extensive access to students’ personal phones, including app usage, location, and phone controls, even outside school hours. This level of access feels excessive for a privately owned device.

These rules will be a waste time through kids not complying and parents and kids complaining. Hillel should promote a postive learning environment, in which students enjoy, rather than the negative direction they are going in. They should add to our school through oppurtunities such as a new sport. Also, this takes focus away from the degrading academics of the school through wasting time with an inconvenice. That is on top of the fact that the app is a power trip that breaches our privacy.

This is a lack of privacy for the youth. Having access to all of there private information that should be kept to themselves should not be shared with administrators. This is something that is unacceptable and unlawful.

LockedIn is a horrible system that creates way more problems than it solves. Students are reporting insane battery drain, GPS issues, random lockouts, and serious privacy concerns from constant location tracking. No school should have that much control over a student’s personal phone, especially when it could prevent them from contacting their family in an emergency.

The Locked In app may help reduce distractions, but forcing students to install software that controls their personal phones raises serious privacy concerns. Phones contain private messages, photos, passwords, and other personal information that has nothing to do with school. Schools have the right to limit phone use during class, but they should not have control over a student’s privately owned device. There are better ways to enforce phone rules without making students give up their privacy.
