Keep Locked In Out of Scheck Hillel
We're members of the Scheck Hillel community - students and parents - asking the school not to bring the Locked In app into our middle and high school. This app collects students' personal information, and once a school has it, families have no say in where it goes or who sees it. Our children's information belongs to them - an app that takes it should not be involved in our school. We're asking the administration to listen to the community this actually affects and keep Locked In out. Sign if you agree.

This is a breach of privacy that goes beyond school and poses a security risk due to the geo-tracking aspect of the app. Our kids are students, not criminals that need to be tracked all day.
It is both a privacy and a security concern. The app not only collects personal data, it geotracks them all day. If this data falls into the wrong hands it could be catastrophic
As a student in Hillel, I already don’t use my phone during school hours, I don’t see why we need to use an application to shut them off that has horrible reviews
It’s not that I really care about not being able to use my phone, but I think this is a foot in the door for the school to keep testing their limits with other nonsense like EHallPass or tracking outside of school
We shouldn't be forced to get an app that tracks us and that takes our personal information.

Very uncomfortable with this during emergencies and also fear the geotracking and access to all the information that becomes available. And yes, I did read FAQ and still not comfortable with the answers. Leaving the phone at the office is also unrealistic. If students are not abiding by the rules, just keep the yonder pouches.
