This will exacerbate flooding in the Millers Creek watershed, cut down hundreds of mature trees that help to mitigate climate change (and which also control flooding), and create traffic hazards in a steep area with limited sight lines. Why develop pristine areas when there are better-located spots for housing that would be closer to shops/businesses?

I live in the neighborhood right next to the forest in question. Its beautiful and worth saving. It offers us all peace and a break from the city that surrounds us. I personally do not want more development here, I want the green space. This forest area is important to the wildlife that calls it home, as there is little greenspace like this left in the city. The creek that runs through the forest would also be in jeopardy. This development would destroy so much for so little.

I oppose the proposed rezoning and development of this property. Rezoning the site to R4 would introduce a level of density that is not compatible with the surrounding single-family neighborhood and could set an undesirable precedent for future development in Ann Arbor. I urge city officials to reject this rezoning request and support development that better respects neighborhood character, environmental sustainability, and public safety.

Ann Arbor is defined by its green spaces and neighborhoods that let one breathe. High density housing is an excuse for wealthy people to snap them up and drive up prices. It doesnt solve the housing crisis.

There are many reasons I am opposed to this development: - The number of trees slated to be cut down, and the risk to the Huron River watershed is not consistent with the desires of the citizens of "Tree Town." - The density, height, and setbacks are not consistent with the residential neighbors in accordance with the city's land use plan. - The impact on automobile traffic patterns and risk for motor vehicle crashes, particularly in the winter, is too great.
