I’m an ex CB local, nurse and a SJA volunteer. I have seen personally so many close calls. This will end in a child fatality.

This is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Appeasing the new resort. That can walk through as it is now or drive the 500m to go round. Keep the kids safe, use some logic for Christ sake.

Grow up riding and running around coral bay on holidays, it wouldn’t be the same if French st open. It is an unnecessary addition to the existing system.

It will put the kids who freely ride their bikes and scooters in danger. It’s also adjacent to the playground- so many kids around.

To open a road in the middle of a caravan park is ridiculous it has been closed for years why now open the road too many children and elderly around it would be far too busy with traffic to run through the middle of the park not to mention be very busy running past the accommodation of the ferments living on that street

As regular visitors to Coral Bay one of the main draw cards is knowing the kids can roam safely.

We visit Coral Bay every year with kids and it's giving them the opportunity to have a holiday like we had holidays when we were kids. This is just unnecessary changes that benefit no one

I am a resident here in Coral Bay and opening this road up is a hazard for the locals living in that area and children playing around the playground. Coral Bay is supposed to be a safe place for children and families but this will cause incidents.

Spent around 10 years living in the bay and know first hand how everyone moves around the bay.Wether on foot ,push bike or quad bike for some.Cars were not really needed to get anywhere in the bay as a visitor nor as a local really.Apart from businesses.French Street divides a caravan park which has ablution block, pool and cafes that locals and visitors enjoy strolling on foot to use these facilities. WHY would a Safety focused organisation want to push more traffic into a pedestrian zone ?
So unsafe
