I moved into Fort Valley many years ago to get away from Street lights and dense traffic. I don’t mind getting behind a tractor or hay truck, just don’t want to import extra vehicles for events other than a local hog roast or horse rider OD. The bicycle are already in danger and we expect a deer or possum on the road.

I live there not for long but the reason is the quiet relaxing life style. My family lives there some things need to be left alone not everywhere needs to be developed there should be places people can live in peace it’s a culture in the Fort you just shouldn’t mess with

I was born and raised in Fort Valley, it has grown so much in the past twenty-five years. We do not need resorts, more Airbnb's, or to share what we have. Most people have moved to Fort Valley for its peacefulness, and no hustle and bustle of town or city life. Then there seems to be the otherside where they want to "share" our beautiful Fort with others. So how long do they think its going to stay peaceful and beautiful, if they want to keep trying to put these businesses in our community.

Due to having many questions about the history of the property (many of the stated facts do not add up to the factual information.
Also, every weekend, Fort Valley Rd, becomes a race track for every "out of towner" and many of these "visitors" have no clue as to how to drive on our type of roadway (crossing over lines, taking blind curves again crossing over the lines into potential of oncoming traffic, etc).
We do not need even more people on the roadways, the light and noise pollution!

I live in lovely Fort Valley and moved here to escape the constant commotion of more developed areas. Fort Valley is a gem because it is just a bunch of neighbors living their best lives without interference of the constant traffic of event centers and resorts.

I am not a nimby or adverse to business, but the pending proposals, if permitted, would impose major, excessive burdens on the community. Fort Valley Road, which is the only access in and out of the community, is too narrow and too difficult to sustain the levels of traffic the proposed uses, such as "wedding venue," would entail.

I've never lived anywhere for as long as I have in Fort Valley. There is a level of respect & community that's hard to replicate. Fort Valley is not a resort destination. It's home to generations of family's and people who want to be a part of that, like my wife and I. We love Fort Valley. Once the county opens the door to these venues, they will never be able to close it, as they will set a precedent, others will use that to their advantage for more venues.

We live here for the beauty and peace. We love the wildlife! This is not the place for outside investments creating noise and bringing more traffic. Keep Fort Valley conservation!!! Reject all commercial activities.
