When someone commits a crime, they should be punished for that crime! Assault with a deadly weapon is a crime. It shouldn’t matter weather the victim has since died from some other cause before the case is prosecuted.

Our justice system has to do better, especially in the name of the victims! Attackers need to be held accountable, even if the victim has passed away before the hearing date! This sort of act should never be swept under the rug and dismissed!
