A film should not disappear just because a studio chose a different version to promote. It sounds like the days when The National Enquirer would buy the rights to stories just to bury them so they'd never see print.

Seeing this version was my white whale and I was finally able to catch it when it was shown with a Director's Q&A at the PickWick Theater in Park Ridge. I want everyone to have the opportunity!

One of the most underrated comedies ever made. The Hollywood ones are not good. This one is actually funny.

This original version of MEET THE PARENTS is the absolute best and should be seen by all who want to see it. This is the foundation. This is the original source material.

Saw this movie three years in a row in Chicago and haven't stopped taking about it since. A comedy with the structure of a horror movie! Release the film so everyone I've met over the past 25 years realizes i wasn't making it up.

This is a seminal work of art that deserves t be public and available. It influenced a huge series of films and most people I think would enjoy viewing it for these reasons!

No reason to keep this movie under wraps.
A shoestring indie from 37 years ago is no threat to the studio franchise.
In fact, it would spur interest in the series and make the studio look magnanimous, which would help their brand tremonmdously.

I saw this movie first at the Art Institute in Chicago and a second time at the 3 Penny. Very very funny and better than the remake.
