Parking at the hospital is stressful and aggravating. Cars having to follow each other in circles for ages and ages trying to spot a space is absurd. I've been late to appointments because of this.

I’ve experienced the frustration and anxiety caused by the parking situation for more than 30 years, as a mother to be, a parent, a friend visiting and as a patient. Park and Ride as it stands does not work.

They have currently blocked off about 50% of blue badge spaces for construction and bike racks. No consideration for the most vulnerable patients.

Attending hospital appointments is stressful and circling the car park to find a space adds to the stress. On several occasions with my very elderly mother who needed me to accompany her, we struggled for over an hour to secure a space . She was unable to use park and ride services. I know people who have been late for appointments and missed important scans due to the parking nightmare. The parking at both hospitals is unfit for purpose and causes great and unnecessary distress.

Parking always involves a 15 - 1 hour wait for a space to become free. Ridiculous situation. Council anti-car policy is not in the interests of the public

Finding a parking space shouldn’t be even harder than getting the care you need.

Personal experience. Arrived for a mid morning appointment and could not find anywhere to park. Had to wait for someone to leave.

I spent over an hour and a half desperately trying to find a parking space so I could join my partner for our baby scan.
What should have been a happy, exciting and memorable moment for us both turned into an incredibly stressful, upsetting and rushed experience. Instead of being able to enjoy this special occasion and support my partner, I was left feeling anxious and frustrated about whether I would even make it to the appointment.

We had a very stressful prolonged stay for our baby (91 days spent in NICU) visiting daily, the added stress of parking in an already profoundly difficult time was not what we needed. So many families are affected by the lack of space and do not need the added stress of needing to find a space when wanting and needing to be with their loved ones.

1 month ago my partner missed the ultrasound scan of our baby because he couldn’t park. He was driving round the car park for over an hour. The experience was incredibly anxiety inducing. 7 years ago our friends baby was in the JR intensive care unit for 3 months and they had the same stress trying to park everyday to see their extremely ill baby. Horrendous. This problem has been going on for years and nothing has been done.

Constant stress for any users of the hospital. The council need to understand this hospital serves a wide region, not just Oxford city, and the excuse of being able to easily get public transport is impractical and insulting to patients

Not living local enough to use public transport I have to travel by car and it is never easy to find parking so you then spend an hour or more trying to find space which isn’t practical.
