We have to use the Churchill from time to time, nobody wants to but alas it’s necessary.
The visit would be so much more less stressful if we were able to park more easily.

Theres just not enough spaces and driving around looking for one in the car park and not getting one still issues you with a charge

As a previous cancer patient I needed to be able to travel to the hospital at specific times for treatment and public transport was a nightmare when feeling extremely unwell and trying to avoid other people’s germs while being immunocompromised

I have regular appointments at the Churchill for cancer treatment. The constant battle to find a parking spot is stressful. I usually leave an hour extra to find one. I am 85 and find public transport difficult

I'm a regular visitor to the Churchill hospital and the stress of finding a parking space and a nearby machine at which to pay only make an already stressful appointment worse.

Of course it is important the hospitals serve rural communities and there is little or NO public transport in the villages.

I don't have a car but some people really do need to be able to park on site and staff working late shifts need to be considered too

Having to allow at least an hour to find parking and at times still not finding any, esp when you have an ill relative or an appt adds additional stress. And being charged for going round and round the carpark trying to find a space is morally wrong.

Because we use the Churchill and JR regularly and it adds extra stress knowing you have to fight for spaces

My husband was a patient at the Churchill before he died and my mum (98) has been a patient at the JR a couple of times recently. Lack of parking spaces has meant using buses for visiting for me and taxis for pick-ups. Visiting by other relatives almost impossible. All these scenarios are very frustrating and upsetting when you have very ill loved-ones in hospital.

Because sometimes you can spend so long trying to find a space you are in danger of missing your appointment.

People go to a hospital because of illness and necessity. They don't go there for entertainment. Adequate parking should be available.

It’s vital that we are able to get to and from these hospitals and be able to park within a short timeframe not always have to wait for public transport
