It is almost impossible to travel by car on your own to an appointment at the JR. You would without doubt be late or miss your appointment while trying to park. The situation is dire and if you are not well intolerable.

I get very stressed when I know I have to visit the JR. The parking is appalling & can take up to 50 mins to find a space??

I strongly support the call for improved parking and access at the John Radcliffe and Churchill Hospitals. I live in rural West Oxfordshire with two elderly people aged 87 and 91 who regularly need Oxford hospital services. Local buses are infrequent, with no direct service to Oxford. Changing buses, long waits and additional walking are not practical for elderly or unwell patients. One still drives, but finding hospital parking is extremely stressful. The other depends entirely on family or fri

When you have an emergency or a family member has an emergency and you need to get to the hospital quick you cannot simply just "catch a bus". The parking is hurrendous. My son had some serious medical problems which he needed tests for on multiple occasions and an operation. Making him take a bus to and from these would have been hurrendous for him. Not all appointments are just routine and not everyone is physically able.

Trying to find a parking space at the hospitals is unnecessarily stressful compounding an already stressful reason for attending the hospital

Public transport is not an option when you need to take sickly people to appoints nor appropriate. The alternative is taxi which would be over £30 each way from my location.

Parking is an utter nightmare at both the JR and Churchill causing unnecessary stress at a time when life is already at it's most stressful due to health investigations or treatment

I'm a widow with no family living in the area so travelling by bus is not an option for me when I need to bring my little daughter for appointments or if it's me who needs to attend my appointments there. I need to be able to use my car and have an access to suitable parking without driving around and looking for a free spot.

A hospital appointment is stressful enough without having to search for an hour or so to park. And if your disabled it’s harder as you then have to walk quite a distance to get to the hospital. Yes I know there are disabled bays, but just try finding one…Buses are not an easy option if you have problems walking , and suffering from anxiety makes things even worse.

Having had to use the hospitals of late parking can be stressful not knowing if you can find a space or not, even if you give yourself and extra hour at certain times of the day. And when you have elderly or feeling very poorly you don’t want to be hanging around
To use public transport . I appreciate that they say multi storey car parks aren’t allowed due to the height and near to residential properties but has the option of not going downwards been considered ?

Because there's no way people with a disabilities and mobility issues should have to rely on a bus, especially living in rural Oxfordshire.

As a frequent visitor to the JR and the Churchill, the added stress that the lack of parking at both, adds significant stress to each visit. Hospitals are not a place any of us what to visit unless we have to, and then we have to pay for parking…!

Public transport for me would take 2 buses and 2.5-3 hours each way. Driving & therefor parking on site, for me is the only option.

This is a must, more and more people are going there and by 10am there is no where to park, mum was driven there this morning and my other half couldnt park anywhere except in the 20 minutes area. Access is a must especially when the Oxfordshire population is going up and getting rid of a staff car park, makes the situation much worse.

My niece was in there for 6 months before she passed. I was there everyday and you can imagine how much that accumlated to. Absolutley disgusting and abhorrent that you feel the need to charge people that need care. Or are dying.
