Parking is horrendous! A multi storey would be brilliant. I know park and rides are available but they are a lot of walking and effort if you have someone who can’t walk well but doesn’t have a disabled badge.

the terrible parking must cost so many missed or late appointments it must make the hospital so hard to run then gets viewed in a bad light

Needing to attend a hospital is stressful. Worrying about where I can park gives me sleepless nights. I have to allow an hour and a half to get there and it’s only 16 miles away. One time I arrived to find that my appointment was cancelled while I was en route. Catching a bus would take 2 hours so that’s not a solution, especially if you cannot walk far.

Because the parking is so difficult I get dropped off and then picked up for outpatient appointments. That is doubling the number of miles travelled. A suitable car park is better for the environment.

It’s very stressful when you have a. Appointment at JR of whether you will get a space. We usually leave 2 or 3 hours before the appointment so we have plenty of time to get a space. There wasn’t enough of future planning for parking when the JR was built. Not everyone can use public transport

It’s stressful enough having to go to hospital, worrying about the parking only adds to the anxiety.

When my son had a stroke and was staying in the JR one of the most stressful things about travelling in to see him was the dreadful parking.

It's stressful enough going to the hospital for an appointment let alone the stress of trying to park! jR buses are good not so accessible to the Churchill
