I have mul5iple disabilities I clouding severe sight impairment. The blue badge parking at the eye hospital is always full from 8am onwards all day. As also a manual wheelchair owner it is a far distance to self propel from anywhere else. I am a patient not staff. Living in Oxfordshire no option but to drive. Absolutely.ute disgrace

Parking has always been a problem at the JR then they build on a car park reducing parking even further. Disabled spaces quite a way from main entrance on a slope. Should have built hospital elsewhere A40 where the new properties are built would have been better.

I have recently had to drive relatives and friends to the hospital for appointments at different times and days of the week, the parking is absolutely a nightmare which should be addressed ASAP so that patients and relatives arrive in a better calm , relaxed mood . The time tax payers have to waste finding parking slots is not at al beneficial at all .

Stress of parking is not what anybody needs when visiting the hospital whether it’s for an appointment or visiting / dropping off someone injured or unwell. It’s not always possible to use public transport.

If you are sick or in pain, public transport isn't a good option especially if you have to travel far and make several changes. If you work, then using public transport adds at least 2 hours to your appointment which most working people just can't afford to do.

OUHs choices about parking arrangements have put through the enormous, absolutely overwhelming stress that left me sobbing in tears while trying to access the hospital. I'd leave the house at 8am for a 50 min drive, to make an 10am blood test, and be calling people to cancel 2pm meetings because I was still stuck at the hospital. The car parking situation added to this enormously, as the park and ride bus option is too indirect it takes too long.

Have to attend numerous appointments and visits at all times and at The JR, Churchill and Horton - amounting to over 40 visits this year with many more to come. Apart from the stress of serious and critical illnesses, is added to with so much stress trying to get to the hospitals on time with lack of parking on sites. As a family we’ve spent almost as many hours getting to theses hospitals and finding parking which in quite a few cases is more stressful and time consuming than the appointments!

I too have experienced issues parking at Churchill hospital, which is not easy to reach by public transport from where I live. As to JR, when needed, I walk to it, and that's lucky as I can see how Limited the parking availability is at that hospital too

To visit a loved one you have to arrive first thing in the morning or late afternoon/evening to get a parking space.
It is disgusting that you are dictated to because of a poxy car park

Every visit during the day is mission impossible to find a parking space.

The parking is ridiculous. It can take up to an hour to find a space. My daughter’s been in the JR two months now and it’s daily Monday to Friday. It’s ridiculous. They seriously need more parking getting people angry in car parks. It’s so stressful when going to the hospital itself is usually for a stressful reason.

My family and I recently spent 6 weeks driving to The JR daily to see my dad who was in cardiac critical care. Parking added to our anxiety and stress.

Not everyone attending the hospital is well enough to go by bus. So many missed appointments, driving around looking for a space.

Parking at the hospital is stressful and aggravating. Cars having to follow each other in circles for ages and ages trying to spot a space is absurd. I've been late to appointments because of this.
