My family might need to be able to park at the hospital one day in circumstances where walking there or public transport are not possible

I sat in the car park and cried the other day trying to get to see my daughter who has been in and out all last month having operations. It’s totally unacceptable that this is still the case with this busy hospital. The amount of unnecessary anxiety it creates before you even leave to travel is uncalled for. We are not able to use a bus either, as when you have someone who is in pain and can’t walk far this is not possible. A multi storey car park is desperately needed to relieve this.

Already stressed to get to appointment the last thing you need is the added pressure to find a parking space

There needs to be more parking as well as extra services - one leads to extra vehicle usage

A hospital visit is always a stressful experience it should not be made worse by struggling just to find somewhere to park, please remember not everyone can arrive by bicycle or bus

I use to work there and it was 1 of the reasons I left, how can you not have nought parking for staff! But also had my two babies here, my husband struggled both times to find a parking space whilst I was in labour! Absolutely disgusting. Yet any other place ive visited you never had this issue!

Parking has been an absolute disgrace for years. While you have to attend these hospitals some fool decided it would be a good idea to have them all in headington, then they wonder why there are so many problems. Driving round and round looking for a space when you are already stressed at having to come there.

Patients should have ability to use car to travel and park at the hospital. You have enough to worry about without having to stand at a bus stop to get the first of two buses to get to hospital on time hours before appointment

Because whether a patient or chaperone it’s nigh on impossible to park at either hospital which adds considerably to the stress of an already stressful situation in many cases. Buses take ages from where I live and park and ride isn’t suitable for many people.

You have to add at least another hour on your journey to get a parking place..

It should be easier to park and not so stressful and expensive.

Now when I go to either the JR or Churchill I need someone to drive me as it is so difficult to find a parking space that I’m likely to miss my appointment. I believe it would take me over two hours plus a change of bus in Oxford to get there in time for my appointment.

Parking is a joke. Especially with the new theatres opening it will be even worse. It adds to the stress of appointments not knowing if you will get a space. The parking is not adequate for the size of the hospital.

Even having a blue badge for my 92 year old dad is not guaranteed to be able to park anywhere near where he needs to get to in the JR
Beyond a bloody joke now n patients will not n should not be forced onto public transport for hours on end going round the houses when feeling ill

I can rarely use public transport as I suffer from severe anxiety is that situation and also have trouble with
Crowded parking so things can be very difficult and I put off going to the hospitals if at all possible.

Parking is incredibly difficult and has been for years.
Taking my young son to A&E after a bad accident at school. Fortunately, had a member of staff with us while I found a space.
Secondly, when attending the Churchill for Radiothrapy it took me 1 hour 10 mins to find a space. Very stressful.

I am signing as it is almost impossible to park at the JR and Churchill hospitals. I attend appointments there every year.
