So many trips with an elderly relative made visits either very stressful and late for appointments or very expensive taxis

Missing appointments then being told you have to wait more time which is crucial for diagnosis and care

Keep missing my son’s appointments due to the parking 🅿️ situation.
It’s absolutely diabolical that people are missing vital treatment for serious illness over inadequate parking.

Last week I had to abandon my husband at the hospital and go and park in pay & display on Windmill Road. A 15 minute walk back. Not hapot

If I am ill and have to attend hospital I am already stressed. To add parking issues on top is unacceptable. I live 2 bus rides away from any hospital and really dread the thought of having to travel for 2 hours each way on public transport

Because parking at the Oxford hospitals is a nightmare- when people are at their lowest ebb.

My partner has missed (and nearly missed) one of my important pregnancy scans because of the lack of parking around the women's centre.

All patients should be able to receive the care and attention they need at our superb hospitals, with out worrying how to park, should they need to drive. Likewise staff who are looking after us so well should be able to park, when they drive to work.

It is ridiculous that each morning I have the anxiety about whether I have a space or not. I am required to drive to drop my son off at nursery here. At times I have received fines for not parking in the correct spot. If I didnt I would have to cancel patient activity. This is discrimination

Before he died, my severely disabled husband had frequent appointments or emergency requirements at the John Radcliffe, and at the same time my daughter was a long term inpatient, then a regular outpatient, at the Churchill. Parking at both sites was a nightmare, incredibly stressful for us all

I work at the JR and travel to work by car due to distance. Public transport is infrequent and unreliable. I agree that many patients are too unwell or elderly to travel by public transport. Ther is often not enough space for patients, so they travel earlier and earlier to appointments, therefore taking up car parking space for longer.

The increased stress on patients and relatives at a stressful time. Friends undergoing chemo driving round for an hour trying to find a space. All disabled spaces full when taking father in law for regular treatment. Bus to park and ride not reliably stopping at hospital if Headington traffic heavy. We are relatively local, what happens to people coming from afar?

Parking is a nightmare even if you arrive ahead of your appointment.
Our closest hospital where I’ve had my children.

When you are taking someone for an appointment and you can't park it gets the blood pressure up for both the driver and the person going to have the appointment. Even the blue badge area has problems with parking.

My father was rushed into the JR in January this year and was then treated between JR and Churchill until the end of April when he passed away. I live in Birmingham and was travelling daily to see him but parking was impossible and I was often driving around for an hour to try and park. We were called in 4 times as ‘it was time’ and his condition critical and only on one of this occasions could I park immediately - I received 3 parking fines as was not going to leave my dad at the end.
