Recently had to drop my wife off and collect her from the JR, but even that was traumatic and confusing with diversion signs and what looked like restrictions to access parking. We live outside the city, so public transport would not have been convenient.

Visiting hospitals for appointments is stressful enough without me stress of parking. I try to use the bus if the appointment is a suitable time. When I had to take my elderly mother it involved my husband and I accompanying her so my husband could go off and find a parking space. I have a lung condition for which I have an appointment soon but I have recently had a replacement hip so currently can't go by bus. I am already worrying about parking. With regard to staff they need to park on site.

A hospital visit can be a stressful event, but more and more planning on how best to get there is a major activity. A range of options, suiting the range of users is needed, hospital parking is an important part of the overall solution.

Emergency appt for my partner recently I had to stop him off at entrance then went round and round trying to park, often reversing as cars coming other way. Luckily after 20 mins found an space. 8 hours later we left thankfully.

Everyone will experience the challenges of parking at the JR and Churchill. The idea of building multi storey car parks close to these hospitals would be the answer to stopping all this NHS money being lost on late appointments.

Parking at Churchill Hospital is dreadful. This is a hospital for people with serious illness and disabling conditions but it feels nasty and punitive when one cannot get to the clinic on time or visit relatives due to lack of parking spaces.

Sick and imobile people obviously need better parking facilities. Not forgetting the NHS staff who are vital to the hospitals' survival and work unsociable hours. This is urgent!

My father in law is over 80 and needs to be taken to the JR quite often. He has difficulty walking and I have to drop him off and then search for a space. His English is not good so I have to be present during appointments. Getting the car parked is a nightmare. Taking him by bus would be even worse.

Park and Ride and local buses from outside of Oxford are excellent to use where applicable, however anyone travelling to the Oxford hospitals for treatment, especially if they are elderly or infirmed and where travelling by public transport isn’t appropriate, should be afforded the courtesy of available car parking at the respective hospital.

More parking on site has been ongoing over the last 30+ years that I have attended appointments on JR site

Parking at both the JR & Churchill hospitals has had problems for many years. I had an appt at JR last week at 09:15. I had to leave home early to get a parking space. We arrived at 08:30 and there were only approx 6 spaces available in CP2. Next to us was a workman parked, so how many other spaces are taken by workmen that remain in spaces for the day.

Not everyone can use the bus, people that live in small villages may not be able to bus into Witney and then get another bus. We take a 96 year old for regular appointments and he would not manage the bus even with our help and he does not live in Witney, due to his health condition he is very tired and goes to sleep after a visit. If you are ill you should be able to get there the easiest way possible for you and waiting for various busses may not be an option.

I have had to have several procedures at these hospitals that mean it would be impossible to hop on a bus to return home – a combination of soreness, nausea and looking like I'd come through a hedge backwards! It is ridiculous to have to factor in an extra half-an-hour (and more!) into your appointment to be able to find a parking space. Adding even more stress to, what is already, a stressful situation. And don't get me started on having to dash to the JR when a loved on is rushed into A&E!

I use the JR and Churchill car parks and the wait for a space is disgusting. Something must be done immediately

Parking at all hospitals is terrible and park and ride is not suitable for many. It adds considerable stress to appointments.

I would use Park and Ride more if it ran from Parkway straight to JR but it doesnt it stops at most stops that Cutteslowe and Summertown have loads of other buses going through. That's why we need more parking

As far as I am aware none of the park and ride services go to the hospitals. How does that help staff who are working long hours.
