ILLINOIS DCFS MUST BE INVESTIGATED BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT

This has directly affected our family. An untrained and inexperienced intern was given the power to remove children from their parents. This intern did not even do the most most basic steps of an investigation. It has taken 2 years, countless court hearings and alot of money to finally get the kids back home. The only abuse these kids have endured is the psychological abuse from dcfs from being torn from their home.

The system is very broken kids being pulled out of there homes for no good reason while kids are dying because they are left w unfit parents. If you fight back you and kids are punished i have been saying this for years.

I’m signing because how can someone just take someone’s babies and NOT try to reintegrate the children back into the house hold

Child trafficking should not be a thing. Child should be able to stay innocent and not have to worry about being taking from there homes.

DCFS has let my students and my friends down. They have not investigated situations when we had evidence that could prove abuse of some kind. I know of situations where they have investigated abuse and did not do a thorough investigation and missed obvious evidence of abuse. I also know there have been other times they did not do a proper investigation and assumed there was something wrong and there wasn’t.

Have known this family for decades. This has been a travesty committed against them.

Because DCFS says I’m a drug addict for THC use! I have my medical card, on top of it being legal!

I have seen multiple cases of good parents be punished and bad parents swept under the rug.

Only trained professionals with proper knowledge and skill should be making decisions affecting families.

This is supposed to be a government based on checks and balances. Let's do some checking

An intern/trainee served as the sole investigator on my family’s case. Her investigation resulted in my children being removed from their home for nearly two years, causing them to endure profound and lasting trauma. I firmly believe this outcome could have been avoided had our case been handled by a properly trained Child Protection Specialist. If Illinois DCFS hopes to regain even a measure of public trust, the people of Illinois deserve assurance that the agency will be held accountable.

Being the victim of corruption in Illinois, I have come to see that it is entrenched throughout the state at all levels. Oh and since full transparency is optional this should already be happening.
