We, the undersigned citizens and residents of the United States, respectfully urge the United States Senate to promptly consider and pass H.R. 8555, the Living Wage for All Act.
This bill would help ensure that every American worker has a better chance to earn a wage that reflects the real cost of living. Today, many hardworking people and families are doing everything they can, yet still struggle to keep up with the rising cost of housing, food, healthcare, transportation, and other basic necessities. Full-time work should not leave people unable to make ends meet.
A living wage is about more than a paycheck. It is about stability, dignity, and the chance to build a better life. When workers are paid fairly, they are better able to support their families, take part in their communities, and contribute to local businesses and the broader economy. Fair wages help create stronger communities and a stronger nation.
We believe that no person who works full-time should be forced to live in poverty. H.R. 8555 is an important step toward making sure hard work is met with fair compensation in today’s economy.
Therefore, we respectfully request that the United States Senate bring H.R. 8555, the Living Wage for All Act, to the Senate floor for consideration, conduct a fair and transparent debate on the legislation, and vote in favor of passing it and sending it to the President for signature.
By signing this petition, we stand together for fair wages, economic opportunity, and the simple belief that work should be enough to live on.
Respectfully submitted,
The Undersigned Supporters
