Opposing the Proposed Development at High Hill, Essington

Predominantly flooding concern. Everyone knows where the cemetery was developed we have flooding *every year* on Bursnips Road.
What is the water absorption capacity of the proposed field and where is that run off planned to go to when it becomes an impermeable surface, because that will flood the local area - the houses where High Hill troughs is guaranteed.
There has already been major housing development in Essington in last 5 years. (The Steadings)

This land is green belt and still used to raise livestock. After 40 years living in Essington there has been a huge amount of development we will soon be to big to be called a village.We don't need this!!

Community is large enough..never increased services to cope with it....street cleaning.drains cleared.road sweeping.police patrol...paths and pavements all untidy.overgrown. this makes makes it scruffy etc... list could go on 😡and on.

Effect on wildlife, congestion in the area and stress on amenities that are already struggling - Water, WI-FI, Road surfaces.

Essington can't accommodate more houses. Parking at the school is horrendous with an accident waiting to happen. Drs appointments are not always available .developer says the village has a frequent bus service to Wolverhampton. If by frequent they mean Monday to Fridays mornings with last bus back 2.25 they have a different understanding of the word frequent to me. No buses to Wolverhampton Saturdays or Sundays. Unless you drive afternoon new cross hospital appointments incur taxi fares

The green belt land in Essington is special to those that live there. I’ve spent much of my life next to the field they are looking to bulldoze, and a lot of my life in the village. Essington is small, and does not have the infrastructure in place for more houses.
DON’T TRY TO FIX WHAT IS NOT BROKEN.

The speeding traffic on an already busy road, the doctors surgery will not be able to cope. The school is very small and it is on a proposed green belt taking away even more of Essington village charm.

This field could be restored to woodland or a wildflower meadow if not being grazed, which has much more value than a load of houses and a cafe home

Roads are not suitable for more dwellings on high hill, major investment would need to be put in place to ensure road safety and that roads would be suitable for the increased amount of traffic and heavy good vehicles that would be required in order to develope the site. The harm to local wild life is a major concern in loss of habitat and the noise pollution created from development.
