UNSA has helped me thoroughly over my degree with their free lunches and food, a comfortable study space, and coffee machine. They've helped to make the student experience more fun with their events and support to clubs, where I've made valuable memories and friends.

UNSA assists students who require additional support from a student lens perspective, which can be useful in understanding and improving in services that directly supports students.

Diverting critical funding to a second entity will cause confusion with students and clubs while reducing opportunities currently given by UNSA. The duplication of services will be a massive waste of student money, resources and time, and with so many unknowns in how it will operate, is further undermining student confidence with the University.

UNSA is fundamental to the student experience at UON, one that has made significant strides and improvements in the last few years. As a former club President, seeing a decision from the University Council made with what can only be gleamed as distain for the organisation and its leadership who have made great progress towards supporting student life and experience on campus is shameful.

Students need to be supported to led, need to be supported by their university and also need to have a voice. Undermining UNSA is not supporting students. Accountability must be given that the only way sexual assault and harassment numbers on campus will actually change in my opinion and an organisation created by the university will not support that accountability.

student fee revenue belongs in direct student support, expanded regional services, and independent student representation.

This is another in a long line of the University refusing to listen to student voices. First it's the sporting bodies being forced out of their decades long historical uniforms to become a bland uninteresting colour that's indisiguishable from other universities (Blue), and now the University wants to formally destroy the student voice. This is gross. Zelinksy won't be in power forever, but his decisions will have lasting impacts on the functionality of the University. PLEASE TALK TO US.

not sure why we need to have another layer of student representation when there is already representation that is independent and students have a say in its organisational structure. Is this just another way the uni is trying to silence student's voices??

Student solidarity is a vital safeguard to protect against the privatisation of services managed by and for students.

My sister does not have a lot of money and lives on Centrelink. She hasn't been successful in finding a job during her full time study. Food pantry is a blessing that helps her to eat healthy and maintain a balanced diet while living away from her home town in Griffith NSW. She is always so happy and excited to taste different types of produce that would normally be too expensive for her to purchase.

It affects university students financial and mental wellbeing. It's hard enough for our students already, don't make it way worse, you will shatter not only the students but their families as well!

UNSA do incredible work supporting students in many valuable ways and should receive additional funding to do so, not have funding diverted from them which will jeopardise their impact and directly decimate student wellbeing.

UNSA Is absolutely the best, and most funstional aspect of this university, and without it, I wouldn’t have met any of my friends, and had a truly despondant university experience. UNSA represents the absolute best of this institution and if it is ripped away like this the student body will be much worse off for it.
