My down syndrome daughter, very high functioning, is being taken out of our community school and shipped off to an EE school over an hour away. There are 6 other students in our neighborhood school who need the same curriculum my daughter needs. Shipping our children out of our communities where they are loved, supported, recognized by name, is telling the special needs community that they don't belong at home, that they aren't good enough. A disgusting way to tell the community they don't belon

Behind every IEP is a student with strengths, potential, and a family placing its trust in the district. The district has can be more transparent about how SPED funding is allocated.

We need to find quality support for our special needs population! If we support, no Child left behind, let’s not leave these children behind

It is terribly important that all students receive proper education; especially those who require more educational care.

special education is important to have funding, a lot of my family members have disabilities that need or needed help for their education, and i want kids with disabilities to have that access and support.

Everyone deserves education regardless of ability, and these cuts are unjust and unfair

I have a daughter with special needs that has spent her entire scholastic career in the Granite school district. Her needs often went unmet because of inadequate staffing in her classroom that had challenges with aggressive behaviors. I cannot imagine how much more difficult it will be with even fewer staff.

I have many friends with special needs children and have been a pediatric nurse at Shriner’s and Primary Children’s Hospital. This is so important that these kids are taken care of and get the help that they need!

My younger brother needs the extra support, and I want him to be happy and have the ability to learn and grow. He and so many others deserve this basic right to have the chance to academically and socially flourish. Equality matters.

Because I work with kids with autism and have a deep understanding of sped and why it’s so important to have funding for it in schools.

As a tax paying member of this community with children who, under different circumstances for our family, would be in need of special educational services I’m appalled that a clerical error would lead to children in our community schools going without the assistance they need to thrive and succeed! Our students deserve the best we can give them, regardless of our own mistakes!

Special education is very important to have all around the world. Kids with special needs are people too, and they need an education just as much as anyone else. Due to certain neurological conditions these kids need different specialized education to fit their needs. DO NOT CUT FUNDING FOR ANYONES EDUCATION, OTHERWISE HOW CAN WE BE THE FUTURE OF THIS WORLD?

the purpose of school is to develop children. Special education is critical to that development giving those with disabilities the opportunity to be productive members of society. Don’t penalize them for their disabilities!

My wife gre wu utilizing the special education program in public schools. It was an essential resurvey for her developing mind. I find it deplorable that anyone would want to take from those who need more help than others.
