Reducing staff without thorough review of service needs places an undue burden on students, remaining teachers/staff/administrators, and families. Negative ripple effects can be difficult to estimate and quantify until the damage of a strained system has been done. Our more vulnerable student populations need to be treated with utmost respect and consideration before such decisions are implemented and reductions should be based solidly in accurate data with review of alternate funding sources.
