I support equity in sports. Adaptive athletes are athletes and deserve more than an afterthought or being used as marketing or PR.

My son is an adaptive athlete. He has been looking for a community to join and has already done a HYROX in the neuro major category and loved it. He’s currently training for his 2nd HYROX in December. He’s finally found an environment in which he’s thriving.

I won APAC and still didn’t qualify for WC. The time frames are too short from notification anyway to book flights and get a locum. As the sport grows let’s adapt.

We all deserve the same opportunities. They train as hard or harder than everyone else.

I have competed in 4 hyrox now. I have just found out I have been in the wrong category, I have been doing the harder category which in away you can say is a good thing, but if I did the category I meant to be in, I maybe had a better chance of making the world's. I do think there needs to be more clarification on the category we should each be in. I dont think Hyrox should employ someone from the medical profession to decide on what category we should be in like the para olympics

No reason for this difference.

I competed in Houston 2026 and saw firsthand how unfair the competition is for adaptive athletes. Before my race, I was told the wrong number of laps to run and ended up running an additional lap. Not only this but the invite process to the World championships is unfair and there needs to be a better qualification process so that us adaptive athletes don’t have to rush to get tickets if we get invited. Additionally, it’s ridiculous that we have to fight for top 3 in the world.

I think real qualifications like other sports would give the sport a higher standard for the adaptive athletes. And a more fair game.

I competed at worlds in Chicago placing 3rd in my category. I won races this year but didn’t qualify under their unfair standards.

It’s time for actions, not words. Adaptive athletes deserve to be treated as equal athletes, not just showcased when it’s convenient to demonstrate inclusion. Work with the adaptive community, not about the adaptive community. We have the knowledge, the experience, and the passion to help build something better.
