I would love a fence at the front as people walk on my garden and let their dogs poop on it.. and would be nice to have a safe space for my daughter.. plus I have to cut the grass and dispose of it as it is my garden but somehow don’t own it so council get off your butts and sign away the deeds to the owners or start cutting every garden in north muirton..

I am signing this petition because I have grandchildren and I want the area around our homes to be safe and secure for them. Small fences would help create a safer space for children to play and prevent them from running straight onto the pavement or road.

To stop pets using my area as a toilet. I'd like to have it being safe for my grandchildren to play. I had enough of tidying after other's animals.

This petition is important to me because residents are expected to maintain the front areas of their homes, even though the land belongs to the council, while we are not allowed to put up small fences to keep them tidy and protected.

Signing this petition is important to me because allowing residents to put small fences in front of their homes would make the area safer, especially for children.

So my grandkids to play out front without dog mess and to stop a walkway from door to door especially in winter nights when people try doors to see if unlocked. Council could specify type of fencing to keep it all the same.

Fed up with people dropping rubbish and dog poop on the grass no respect also used as a short cut across rather than round also to keep family safe when outside

Although the front gardens are council owned, the residents are having to pay to maintain and dispose of the land and so we feel we have the right to maintain it fully as we wish. I also would like a secured area for my baby who is starting to walk and i want a safe enclosed area for her.

Agree with haveing to maintain but not allowed to protect. It is outrageous. The council has to choose one. Either take over the maintaining or allowing the owners to fence, plant flowers, etc.

Not being able to fence off my front garden prevent me from allowing my kids to go out there safely. Stray dogs are constantly shitting on it and I’m the one that has to pick it up and cut the grass, not the council.

I too would like to put a fence my front area . This is council land however they refuse to maintain it . Multiple people have done this already with no issues . I have small family and would like them to remain safe in the front area of my property.
