With budget cuts and lowering the number of medics and FF, you are cutting your own throat! Paramedics and firefighters are extremely overworked as it is when the population grows, but the personnel to tend and take care of the city does not Man….. that, in my book, spells disaster! You think you don’t have staff now you start cutting them down even further, then who will you have to run your ambulances and firetrucks? Not many.

The City needs to stop saying that they back our first responders when clearly they do not. It is time for everyone to support our first responders and provide for the needs in order for them to fully protect our city along with its continued growth. I have many friends and family who are first responders of our City and they need our help - NOW!!!!!

I feel as if the fire department should be funded with more money.

Our firemen risk their lives to protect us and should not have to even think about having sufficient resources to do their jobs to the best of their ability.

Fire fighters are NOT optional. The city doesn’t think they’re need right up until a disaster happens then they’re needed and none available. Dealing with the mess is way worse than just planning appropriately. Cut other things that aren’t necessary for our safety.

Retired FWFD and I remember when we had only Three FF’s on the truck it was unsafe and we had no accountability. That is why we have 4 FF’s on the truck for safety reasons.

Because as a citizen of this state for 7 years now. I’ve done nothing but watch this city grow and grow and grow and by taking away funds that are necessary to help save lives. You’re going to cost your community even more. Families will be hurt and nothing good will come out of us having less fire fighters. Honestly it’s sad and unbelievable. It makes us want to move to a different town where they prioritize funds to save the community than take it away.

Why not provide an extra added precaution for those in need. This is a benefit and not a burden.
