Explain to me how we are one of the fastest growing cities in the nation but we don't want to expand our first responders to meet that need. Sounds a little backwards. Shouldn't we be expanding responders to the amount of people and buildings, apartments that are coming into Fort Worth. The people of Fort Worth support our first responders and expansion of new fire houses and fire fighters. The city can skimp on some things but this would not be where that should happen.

They deserve good pay and good benefits. These are heroes who save lives every day. They need availability of any means of saving lives while they serve others.

It’s very important to have 4 ff on their trucks and to hire more paramedics so no ambulance cover is stopped due to coverage. Medstar paramedic when they started in FTW and was married to a ff for 37 years.

Our first responders should be able to work knowing their lives matter! Why is it always the jobs that are the hardest or that can end with loss of life are the ones that are always short staffed or receive the least amount of pay?? They should have the people they need to do their jobs the pay to reflect possible loss of life and the respect of their city!!

Fire and EMS services are the frontline shield of our communities, providing rapid, life-saving intervention when every second counts. Without full funding, the department faces critical staffing shortages and delayed response times, directly compromising public safety and placing both residents and first responders at risk. Fully funding these essential services is not a budget line item. It's vital.

I live in the city and worked for the FW Fire Dept. I know how hard the job is and taking away one member on the fire truck only increases the work load for the other crew members to pick up the slack.

I hope this resolution comes favorable for the fore/ems staff and the citizens who need their services.

My sister and lots of good friends have been in EMS for a long time serving this city. Since the city took over it has been nothing but chaos and negative reviews. The people of this city deserve better.
