I believe in the jobs that FW fire and EMS are doing for the citizens of Fort Worth. They need to stay ahead of the growth, wit personnel and equipment, to provide the citizens the fastest and best service for their tax dollars to the city!!

Our benefits package needs to improve and the staffing levels and pay also need to improve at the same rate as the city is growing.

I have had friends who were firefighters and family. I also have family that are 1st responders. I believe they deserve every penny and some for what they do to help keep us safe. I don’t believe anything should be taken away or cut from their budget .

As a former medic myself, and now an ER nurse/ flight nurse I know all too well the short staffing that affects every angle of the prehospital medical setting. Even when "fully staffed" by outdated standards; the exhaustion, and burnout from those working their shifts, working extra to cover call outs from illness or injury is necessary yet damaging to the mental and physical well being of the first responders and harmful to visitors of your city?

Our firefighters put their lives on the line for us daily. Our city would be in total chaos without our brave firefighters and police officers.
