Previous firefighter EMS personnel that is now working as a flight nurse in ICU. Cutting while growing is the opposite of what should happen and these people deserve support. Change is what stops shortages.

My family has a long history of fire fighters and who’ve really skied their lives to save others. As dry as north Texas gets we need every position fully funded & more.

As a former FW Firefighter (and current FW property owner, I have lived in a system with 3 and 4 person minimum staffing. The difference is an exponential increase in the efficiency, effectiveness, and safety of a 4 person crew arriving on scene of an any major incident.
According to the departments own SOP's, a crew arriving on scene at a house fire with only 3 firefighters HAS to wait on another fire truck to arrive so that the proper safety threshold is established.

As someone who lives works, and serves in the Fort Worth community, I strongly support maintaining full funding for our Fire Department and EMS services.
Fort Worth is one of the fastest growing cities in the United States. Every year, thousands of new residents, businesses, neighborhoods, and visitors place increasing demands on emergency services. As our city grows the need for adequately staffed fire engines, ladder trucks, ambulances and paramedic units grows with it.
