First Responders sacrifice more than the average person - mind blowingly more. I do not believe they also need to sacrifice their safety to be compensated for going above and beyond every day they show up for work. Work that results in higher fatigue physically and mentally. Higher cancer rates. Higher detrimental medical risks (i.e. heart attack, stroke)

I am a Firefighter/Paramedic and understand what these men and women give for Fort Worth and these residents. Quit bullshitting and compensate these men and women. Give them what they need and have asked for. These men and women are the backbone of the city. The ones who protect it. Quit with the bullshit.

When emergencies hit we need every available firefighter on the scene. Each one has an important job. Cutting back to only 3 firefighters in emergency situations can result in slower response time and higher casualties. Please keep the 4 firefighters at all hours of the day for the safety of our communities.

Like 90% of Fort Worthians, EMS & First Responders are a top priority. As the population grows, so must our budget allocations for roles that are directly impacted by that growth

Emergency services budget should be one of the last to be cut. There are probably other ways to trim the budget if that is truly needed, but I have a feeling there is political pork/personal agendas taking priority. Bolster our emergency services, not undermine them!

Be sure our first responders deserve more. They deserve to be adequately compensated, receive sufficient training, have the proper equipment and have adequate staffing.
