If the city is growing and you have less firefighters, then a lot of people will hedge life access to this form of care which is unreasonable. The number of firefighters the city has MUST increase with the population.

On you or your love ones worst day. Do you want the bare minimum, worn out, and delayed care. Is that what you truly want if you call 911 for you and your family members. We are #2 fastest growing city in the United States. Our population is growing substantially faster than our infrastructure can handle and yet we think we can chose an option to go backwards on Fire and EMS care. While we are at it let's just ahead and make I35 permanently 1 lane. That's essentially what this would be doing.

The citizens health and safety are top priority in Fort Worth therefore the people that are there to protect them and help them should be top priority to the city as well!

It is important for public and Fire personnel life safety. Staffing fire department units will reduce response times and increase better patient care without compromising the public. If morale is low in the Dept, the city will lose valuable workers making the city spend more money training more recruits

Because I'm a former retired FWFD Firefighter and EMT. The City of Fort Worth did this same thing back in the Early 80s cutting man support to 3 to an Engine and Truck....and citizen of Fort Worth Texas

I have worked with the Fort Fire Department for 17 yrs in charge of the payroll process. I have seen first hand how they face injury from minor to terminal due to many years of being exposed to elements that citizens of Fort Worth would never be exposed to. They go to work each shift knowing their life could end in an instant. If any employee on the City of Fort Worth's payroll deserves to have adequate staffing and adequate pay it is the Fire Department. More staff coverage=less injury.
