Deterioration of living conditions, poor maintenance, incompetence within the Leo Management , inconsistent service delivery, and safety issues experienced by residents. Maintenance charges imposed to Tenants if the sinks, lights or electrical equipments stops working due to lifespans.

The are hidden cancellation fees which are too much, lease is a prison you can’t move out to the place…. Electricity goes off for more than 5days every month

Water and electricity have become a constant concern. Secondly there is a complete lack of urgency when addressing tentant issues while rental payments are made timeously.

I have been living under horrible conditions with no electricity for at least 7 days every month since I moved it. The management does nothing to help. I have experienced financial loss because I had to feed myself during those power outages and lost some groceries I had bought for the month

This is a plea that the living conditions are in line with the Rental Housing Act and the National Building Regulations. This includes electrical supply, pest control and general health and safety. Apart from concerns raised we kindly ask a formal letter addressing the concerns raised and how to mitigate risks from both parties (landlord/management and as tenants).

I need the lease rules to be revised and made more flexible for people who wish to vacate.

Living at The Leo is horrific.Every month we always experience an electricity outage, food gets rotten, people smoke inside the apartments how do you allow such and now I have to be a second hand smoker because of inhaling whatever they are smoking it's not safe for my health as someone who doesn't smoke.Coackroaches are all over the place this is the worst place I've ever stayed in. I'm definitely leaving The Leo and I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here.

I’m signing this petition because of the ongoing power outages at the Leo. The Leo blames City Power but the least the Leo could do is provide tenants with working plugs and lights inside the apartments. They should come up with a solution.

Because we cannot be trapped in a mutual beneficial contract where the other party is benefiting and the other one is not. We pay rent on time consistently but they don't have a permanent solution or a plan on how to address the tenants on basic living conditions. And they are not even willing to collaborate and listen to our ideas.

I am also signing this petition because I have personally experienced many of the issues raised above, including poor living conditions, service interruptions and poor communication. I am particularly concerned about the lease cancellation policy, which could require me to pay at least R15,000 to move out, including two months’ rent and utilities that I will not even use. Tenants should not feel financially trapped in a lease when they are already experiencing ongoing problems.

We would like to be released from the lease agreements. The living conditions have become unbearable & too costly. We would appreciate reviewing of the lease terms with lesser, non arbitrary fees - especially given the electricity outages.
