It is our duty to use our voices for extremists, to help excuse the burning of African Christian children, the rape of Israeli women, and the beheading of LGBTQI people. Our students have no NSFAS funding, so our most urgent responsibility is the issuing a of a very long statement about a conflict (not a genocide) 7,000 kilometres away. As academics we must remember our primary task is not as researcher but as agents of propaganda for foreigners who dont believe our constitution. Forward!

Any form of complicity in genocide is unacceptable. Let us all fight for Palestinian solidarity.

Just like Apartheid South Africa was rightly boycotted (academia, consumer, sport, and culture), so too must Apartheid Israel be boycotted. We dishonour the legacy of our Anti-Apartheid's activists by being complicit in Israel's Apartheid system which oppresses and genocides Palestinian men, women, and children. It is "un-South African" to stand by and participate in this atrocity.

Full academic boycott of Isreal is required, as no institution should support or be in ties with a nation committing genocide and apartheid!

The ongoing assault on the people of Palestine is the human rights issue of our generation. Universities have a moral obligation to stand on the side of a people who have been occupied, disposed and rendered refugees in the land of their birthright.

Neutrality? The NWU should break all ties with any genocidal state, starts with Israel. The thought of them still being silent is testament to the fact they have some sort of link to the old ways. Very sad. History will remember this.

This is a moral positions. All Israeli academic institutions are complicit in the war crimes committed by genocidal Israel.

Israel is committing genocide according to multiple independent human rights organizations and experts. We should not be working with organizations and institutions that are complicit in the genocide. Most Israeli universities are complicit. See book by Maya Wind
