Would create a much safer environment for all. Currently, untenable for simple walking.

Community safety for families that walk the area, the heavy traffic volume does not make it safe to walk unless sidewalks are made available.

Local government needs to support healthy lifestyles, and having access to affordable, safe walking routes provides that. The Elmwood/ East Ave traffic light has been the site of too many serious( deadly) car accidents. A sidewalk will provide members of our community safety.

Sidewalks add value and safety to our community. They keep us healthy and encourage walking. We strongly support sidewalks for our children, pets, and all who live here. It would be wonderful to have this!

Way back when there were no sidewalks from Brookside to East. We convinced the town to add some sidewalks. Surprisingly, there was pushback from many neighbors. In time the benefits of the sidewalk became clear. The network of sidewalks has improved greatly over the years and this would be in keeping with the benefits to the whole area. I am all in for this project. Finding the funding will of course be an issue, but the benefits clearly out way the costs.

I walk on Elmwood to Clover and a sidewalk is so needed for safety as the majority of cars exceed the speed limit.

I drive down Elmwood Avenue daily and often encounter pedestrians who don’t have adequate room to safely walk. Extending the side walk to Clover Street would be great for motorists and pedestrians alike.

There is high traffic on Elmwood Ave.
We need to provide a safe walking path for our neighbors and those folks out walking their dogs.

For the safety of our children and neighbors, I think this sidewalk would be a great value ad to the Brookside community as well as the clover community.

This would be an incredible benefit to all of our neighbors and would encourage safety for our kids, safety for walks/runs, patronage of 12 corners, and general connectivity between Brighton areas!

We have an infant and we love walking but we get so nervous on Elmwood. It would be fantastic to have a sidewalk so we don’t have to walk on the main road to get to a safe place for our family to take a walk.
