With no left turn on Salem for the hundreds of new residents on the proposed new development the flow is obvious. Any destination other than Salem Street (downtown Apex) will send every car leaving there right through Haddon Hall. Commuters needing access to 55, 64, 1, and 540 will pour through the neighborhood. If the proposed level of high density is approved and access through Haddon Hall is approved the high traffic flow is obvious, no study needed. There is no remedy once done.

I'm All for development, as long as it is done properly, with appropriate transitions from low density to high density, respecting the existing community, and maintaining the characteristics that make it a great place to live. The proposed plan dismisses all of this, with profit as the sole driving factor (and quite frankly, if their criteria are so tight for this plan, the either the price point is too high, or they're only concern is profit).

There are too many developments of high density housing that have had an impact on traffic congestion, schools, fewer green spaces and fewer trees, and diminish the quality of the TOWN of Apex. It is a town, but turning into an overpopulated city. Enough is enough.

I live in Orchard Villas and already avoid Blackburn during school hours. Even worse is Salem Street with Thales traffic. Then there are the heavy rains that flood the Haddon Hall Greenway which requires fixes every couple of years; and this development will drastically add to the flow of that tiny brook.
This rezoning will allow housing density along the main street into "Historic Apex" that does not match the quaint character of our downtown.

The continued push by the Apex Town Council to allow excessive new development of high density housing that doesn’t fundamentally improve or maintain the quality of life and/or character of our awesome town. This mindset is absolutely destroying the very things that make Apex a great place to live - let’s face it - developers truly do not care as they’re only out to maximize their profits at the expense of those of us who live w/ the aftermath once it’s too late. Severe over-building & traffic

I live in Orchard Villas, and the traffic with Peak Charter on Blackburn, plus Thales on Salem, makes for too much congestion already. Many cars already use Britley Way as a cut-through, and 2 lane Salem St cannot handle this additional traffic.

I live in north alodie and have already seen the impacts of peak charter. People speed through the neighborhood, ignore crosswalks and act like it’s a freeway!! It’s awful! I’m so disappointed!

As a resident of charlion downs lane, I can attest that this road is almost always full of children riding bikes and scooters, walking dogs, or playing ball in the culdasacs and streets. Many people, including ourselves, spend the days strolling the neighborhood with newborns and infants. Adding in heavy street traffic would be a direct danger to many, many residents, pets and children. Please reconsider allowing this development!!

Putting a huge development right here would be a TERRIBLE idea and clearly the developers are just trying to maximize their profits after spending so much buying that large family property. The traffic there next to Thales is already MAXED OUT and this development would cause incredible residual traffic issues for a mile in each direction.

Our landscapes are being overtaken by poorly built cookie cutter townhomes and apartments. When is it enough for the million dollar businesses? We need trees and land for wildlife, and to breathe. What do we do when all the trees are cut and all the grass is gone? What will these animals do that are vital for our ecosystem. I do not want to live somewhere where new town homes and apartments are being built everyday all day, more people more carbon emissions.

I live in Haddon Hall and my house backs up to the creek. With the additional runoff due to the new buildings that remove the wetlands and other surrounding buffers, I’m worried this will contribute to more flooding which is already a problem. I’m also concerned about the increase in the traffic to our community, and the possible additional risk to our children.
