We already have too much traffic with the Peak Charter school and the cars don’t stop at crosswalks!

I’ve lived in Apex for almost 30 years, and within the last 5 or so years it is starting to become unrecognizable. I don’t want Apex to be like Cary, or Morrisville, or Raleigh; I want Apex to be Apex. This means a thoughtful town with nature all around us. Not a new shopping center and apartments/townhouses on every single corner.

With two schools within half a mile of each other, the traffic on Salem Street is congested Many hours of the Day. It makes entering and exiting Salem Street dangerous for everyone. This proposal will make this and other problems worse.

Infrastructure is way behind all these recent building of more and more housing. One lane roads in each direction are already a major traffic problem. Please, plan 1 before plan 10

We live very close to this proposed development and I am concerned about the negative effects on the environment and neighborhoods around it.

It is important to consider the pros and cons of decisions that cannot be reversed. The TOA should be proactive in researching and addressing legitimate concerns.

Haddon Hall is not a cut through.
More density; more traffic.
What about the water?

The plan as proposed by the developer is far in excess of the existing and future zoning rules. They do not have a practical method to assist traffic that is already a problem on Salem St, and a 20 buffer from two story homes to 4 story, 60-foot-tall apartments is not enough. Their plans for water run-off, which is already a problem, are not adequae. This will be a disaster as it exists. We must demand changes.

As a homeowner walking distance from where the development is supposed to go in, I have to share that it’s so congested already at Bailey’s drop up and pick up time. I can’t even exit my neighborhood. I’ve had to amend my daily habits in my schedule to accommodate the congestion. Apex is a lovely area, and the decision-maker are growing it too quickly. The infrastructure can’t withstand this the streets are already packed and congested. It’s too large.

It’s wrong. The quality of life in Apex is going down because of overdevelopment. It needs to stop.
