The students of Edward R. Murrow High School do not condone or support the lack of attention and accountability regarding the Cornell Chi Phi Fraternity case. Representation for Cornell at our school will not be tolerated by the students.

A University that refuses to protect its students and take proper action against violence should be prohibited from representing themselves in front of young audiences. When a school fails to provide a safe and supportive environment, we must speak up against the silence. The neglect by Cornell to properly establish consequences for the students involved in the drugging and raping of Jane Doe sets the precedent that violence against women is tolerable and will be dismissed. Edward R. Murrow will not be used as a platform for promoting the silence and lack of action of Cornell University following the sexual assault of and violence against Jane Doe. The push for the safety of girls and women must prevail. Cornell University is a local institution that many Murrow students apply to. We will not stay silent as Edward R. Murrow allows its students to be driven to a school that does not speak up for what's right and does not put its students' safety first. We stand with Jane Doe.

We ask that you reconsider the visit of Cornell University at Edward R. Murrow High School.

This is important because we cannot allow a university who gave r4pists essays as punishment. we need a change or our society is doomed.

They aren’t welcomed into ERM, infact I’m disappointed in the people who let this event take place. A school in which has excepted all has no tolerance for the likes of Cornell, who protected and let rapists in their once established institution. If an essay is all you need to do to condone your behavior, then what else can someone get away with in the future? Get Out and Stay Out.

I don’t want a school that’s supports stuff like that in my school that’s very uncomfortable and upsetting, writing those essays as a punishment is not enough I am livid.

I don’t want a collage that doesn’t punish rapists to represent themselves at my high school there are posters all over our walls with hotlines to reach out to and ways to report sexual abuse but they don’t even uphold their own values at that point it’s just a pice of paper with a vague notion of dislike standing up against abuse starts with who our high school let’s inside our doors and it’s our schools responsibility to uphold the values they say they have

This is definitely important why would we want a college that supports abusers and doesn’t punish them by letting them back on campus

They need some real punishment for allowing rapists to attend their college
