Chinese calligraphy is a vital means of preserving our Chinese heritage. Reading & writing deepen cultural understanding, while calligraphy cultivates inner calm & character. The programme advances the CI’s language & cultural mission, & its sustained student participation proves its value. As the Institute becomes a research institution, ending this established programme would be regrettable. We hope it will continue growing & inspire more students to learn & carry forward Chinese culture.

Through attending the class, I can appreciate the Chinese culture much batter than before. It also helps me to bring such culture to neighbourhood by writing Chinese New Year couplets to share with neighbours especially the seniors in my block. It has brought back font memories to them. The easing of the class has disappointed a retiree like me for wanting to learn further at the golden age. I would appreciate the school can give a thought on this and allow the class to continue. Thank you.

我诚恳希望书法课程能够继续保留，让有兴趣的同学可以持续学习和进步。书法是中华传统文化的重要传承。学习书法让我有机会静下心来，培养专注力和陶冶性情。多年来我和同学已经投入了时间和心力学习书法，并逐渐建立了兴趣和基础。如果课程能够继续，我们不仅可以进一步提升书写技巧，也能够在老师的指导下不断学习、交流和进步。我相信，保留书法课程不仅满足同学个人的学习兴趣，也有助于传承传统文化。因此，我恳请孔院考虑同学的意愿，继续提供书法课程，让我们能够把这份对书法的热爱和坚持延续下去。
学习书法已经是我生活的一部分，自2020年退休以来，书法已是我每天的主要动力！尤其是在孔院上课的这段日子，不仅我的书写能力提升了，我也交到一群志同道合的朋友，大家一起学习、一起成长。突然接到孔院要结束书法课程，不夸张的说，真的是晴天霹雳！我明白孔院要提升课程质量的新目标，我希望孔院不要放弃我们，让我们和孔院一起提升！
