It's better for the boys to play on a field they know rather than let other people drive on it like it is a parking lot and destroy a school that is normally so prestige. 16 years thwy been on that field. Dont take it now.

Coming from another state and finding the family and community that this team provides has been a blessing, and is a travesty to allow this displacement over one person's opinion. Please reinstate the practice field.

I find it asinine that the school system can’t afford to give our teachers a decent raise, improve school lunches, improve air quality at SMS etc but we’ve already started breaking ground on a new practice field and parking lot to appease one person. Before we start “the money comes from a different place” excuses I’m aware and I still think this whole situation is ridiculous. There’s plenty of parking for everyone with both OHES and SWHS

It unfortunate as adults that arrangements can’t be made for parking, but instead punish small children by taking their practice field away. Between the elementary school and highschool parking should not be an issue. I’m sure. Compromise can be made so these children can continue to practice on the field they have for years, without incident, might I add.

It seems counterintuitive to displace an entire football team and disrupt a beloved community program merely to accommodate the grievances of a single individual regarding parking. Rather than penalizing the league, would it not be far more prudent to simply optimize or relocate the parking arrangements themselves? Let us preserve this valuable space for our youth and athletes.

Been there 16 years on the field, that’s where the kids go to school at and is more convenient than moving to another school. What now? What happens if one of the Oak Hill kids gets in a car wreck going to another’s schools field to play??? Plenty of parking at the high school for adults, just can be lazy

As a student of the first 4th grade class @OHES kids have always utilized that field for football practices, other sport activities, recess and my very highschool gym class used that field as seniors. That field has always been utilized. I’ve drove around it for years without issue, some of my family members, and great friends practice football on that field and should be able to continue to. Football is an OHES tradition, that field has always been part of that very tradition.

It is unfortunate that the actions of one individual, who is unwilling to exercise patience or simply drive around, could jeopardize something that benefits so many. We should not allow one person’s behavior to take away something positive and meaningful from our children and our community.
