My main concern is the sudden shift in decisions after an official announcement had already been made regarding online classes for the 28th to the 30th. It creates unnecessary confusion when students rely on an official update, only for it to be revoked—especially late at night while many are already asleep.
Official announcements should be treated as final. Just as an employer shouldn't suddenly recall an employee on an announced day off or lower an agreed-upon salary on payday, the administration shouldn't abruptly overturn commitments made to students. While unexpected changes happen, this lack of consistency should not become a habit.
This university serves thousands of students coming from various places with different situations. Enforcing last-minute changes without considering these differences ultimately ends up being unfair to many.

The asynchronous classes during the transportation strike is important to me because it allows students to continue their academic responsibilities despite circumstances that may prevent them from safely and reliably reaching the university. As a student who depends on public transportation, I understand the difficulty of ensuring a consistent commute when transportation services are disrupted.

I live in Silay and I'm a bit worried that I won't be able to go home, especially since my last class ends at 8:30 PM.
