This letter is a show of community support for Mr. Chase Steven Antonio Chua and his family. We have been informed that there is a possibility that Chase and his family may not be permitted to remain in Canada permanently and that they may eventually be required to leave the country. We wish to express our strong support for their application for permanent residence based on humanitarian and compassionate considerations. We believe that requiring the Chua family to leave Canada would cause significant hardship not only to them, but also to the people who have come to know them, care about them, and value their presence within our community.

We respectfully ask Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada to consider their circumstances with compassion and to allow Chase, his wife Grace Anne Chua, and their daughter Yara Zimri Chua the opportunity to continue the life they have established in Canada.

Chase came to Canada in 2022 and established himself in Red Deer, Alberta. He came to Canada with the intention of studying and improving his opportunities for the future. He pursued his education and worked hard to establish himself in Canadian society. Grace and their young daughter later joined him in Canada. Since that time, Red Deer has become much more than a temporary place for them. It has become the community where they have established their household, developed friendships and connections, raised their daughter, and planned for their family's future.

During their years in Canada, Chase and Grace have demonstrated a sincere commitment to building a stable and responsible life. They have worked hard to support themselves and their daughter and have sought to remain independent while establishing their family in Canada. Those of us who have come to know the Chua family recognize them as respectful, responsible, hardworking, and family-oriented people. They value their relationships withothers and have worked to become part of the community around them. They have

developed meaningful friendships and have gradually created a sense of belonging here.

Their daughter, Yara, is particularly important when considering the impact that leaving Canada would have upon this family. She came to Canada at a very young age and has spent an important part of her childhood growing up here. Canada is the environment in which she has become comfortable, developed her routines, and experienced much of the life that she presently knows. For a young child, stability and familiarity are extremely important. Yara has been growing up surrounded by the life that her parents have built for her in Canada. Removing her from this environment would mean separating her from the community, routines, relationships, and surroundings that have become familiar to her.

Chase and Grace have made significant efforts to establish themselves so that their daughter can grow up with opportunities and security. Their decisions and sacrifices have been centred on providing a better future for her. It would therefore be very difficult for the family to suddenly leave Canada and begin their lives again elsewhere. After spending years establishing themselves here, Chase and Grace would have to leave behind the stability they have worked to create, their community connections, their friendships, and the life that their daughter has come to know.

The Chua family also has meaningful family and personal connections in Canada. These relationships form an important part of their support system. Their time in Canada has allowed them to create connections that go beyond temporary residence. Their lives have become connected to the people and community around them. Canada has become their home in a practical and meaningful sense. It is where they live together as a family, where they have developed relationships, and where they hope to continue raising their daughter.

Like many newcomers, Chase and Grace have experienced uncertainty throughout their immigration journey. Despite this uncertainty, they have continued moving forward and have remained focused on establishing themselves and building a life based on responsibility, family unity, and hope for the future. If they were required to return to the Philippines, they would face the difficult task of starting over after spending years building their present lives in Canada. They would have to re-establish housing, employment, community relationships, and financial stability while also helping their young daughter adjust to a major change in her life. A return would therefore create considerable uncertainty for the family. What they have gradually built in Canada would be interrupted, and they would have to begin the difficult process of rebuilding their lives under very different circumstances.

As members of their community, we do not wish to see them lose the life they have worked so hard to establish. They have shown that they genuinely want to remain in Canada, support themselves, raise their daughter responsibly, and continue becoming part of the community. Their establishment in Canada should be considered as a whole. It is reflected in their years of residence, their family life, their personal development, friendships, community relationships, and the life their daughter has developed here. Requiring them to

leave would cause significant emotional and financial hardship. It would separate them from their other family members, the community and support network they have developed, and would require them to abandon the progress they have made toward establishing a secure future for their family.

We respectfully ask Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada to consider the humanitarian and compassionate circumstances surrounding the Chua family's application. We believe that allowing Chase, Grace, and Yara to remain in Canada permanently would prevent unnecessary hardship and would allow this family to continue contributing positively to the community that has become their home.

The Chua family has already invested years of effort in establishing themselves in Canada. They have demonstrated perseverance, responsibility, and a sincere desire to build their future here. We believe they should be given the opportunity to continue that journey.

As a community, we support their application for permanent residence based on humanitarian and compassionate considerations. We respectfully request that the Chua family be given the opportunity to remain in Canada and continue building a secure and productive life. Every person undersigned below joins in this request.
