Choosing online study mode was a decision we students took as we had difficulty attending physical classes due to our work and other reasons such as we cannot travel to a location with a campus and live there for the duration of the course due multiple reasons such as financial difficulties, work schedules and much more

Since I couldn't attend face-to-face classes, having the opportunity to study online seemed like a very convenient option for me. However, due to this sudden change, I am going to face significant challenges in my studies

Navigating travel logistics and modifying leave schedules presents a considerable challenge. My current level of preparedness for such arrangements is insufficient, particularly given the substantial expenses incurred while operating in an atoll environment.

I enrolled in this programme because it was advertised as a fully online course with online examinations. As a working mother, this flexibility is essential for me. After completing every semester online, changing the final exams to physical exams creates unnecessary hardship, especially for students from other islands. Since law graduates must already sit for the Bar Council exam to obtain their practising licence, I don’t understand why the university exams also need to be conducted physically

The window to adjust is too short and this should not be applied retrospectively.

* As a single mother living alone with my child, I have no local support network to provide childcare while I travel out of island for exams. * Traveling is impossible because university exams coincide with my child's school days and exam periods. Forcing me to travel requires my child to miss school, directly harming their education. * Leaving a young child alone is unsafe and illegal, while traveling together poses a direct risk to her academic attendance. The financial and logistical burden

Its burden to us to travel for exam while we are already in jobs and have to take care of our family. We started course because we had chance to complete everything on online. It’s more difficult us if uchange rule in the middle of course.

Requiring physical attendance for every exam would be a huge financial and logistical burden on us, due to travel, accommodation, and time off work.

I strongly support this petition. Enrolling in an online degree allowed many of us to balance work, family, and studies while living in the islands. Switching to mandatory physical exams midway creates severe financial hardships and leave constraints, especially for working students. I respectfully ask the Bar Council to reconsider this policy or allow current batches to complete their examinations online as originally structured.
